Forest Hydrology & Soils Laboratory
Investigating Water and Nutrient Cycles in Forest Ecosystems
Welcome to the Forest Hydrology and Soils Laboratory. I am an associate professor in the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University. My research interests include forest hydrology, biogeochemistry, and watershed response to natural and anthropogenic disturbance. Using my background as a physical geographer, I seek to understand the complex dynamics between forests and their surrounding environments across spatial and temporal scales.
My lab conducts field experiments in diverse forest systems
across the southeastern United States and around the world. We seek to answer questions regarding the impact to carbon, water, and nutrient cycles through forest management and
restoration.
